when you live in an apartment with roommates.

Storing an extra set of OEM wheels in a corner of my room, because I don't have a garage. On the bright side, I got a set of OEM wheels and tyres with plenty of tread and TPMS for $350! Soon they will get wrapped in some winter appropriate rubber and plasti dipped to protect the finish.

Pretty good deal. You might have to get tpms programmed for your car, I'm not certain though. Think I remember reading that before somewhere

Where did you get OEM BRZ wheels for 350? That's great.

Cedar? Are you mad!?!? It will clash with rest of the decor. Ebony. That's the correct choice here.

Thats nothing. This is the content of my new garage.

Kinja'd!!!

All for the Miata. Contemplating getting a second set of wheels/tires for the Mustang.

They're OEM FR-S wheels, thank you very much! lol

Got them off a guy in the Upper Midwest FR-S/BRZ FB group.

Most OEM wheel sets are going for around $400 w/o TPMS. With TPMS they're generally about $600-800 depending on the seller. When I saw him post on the FB group that he wanted $350 I responded instantly that I'd buy them.

If I had a garage it would be a whole different story. Also, another corner in my apartment will be occupied by RPF1 track wheels/tyres next spring.

Why two sets of wheels and tyres in a rather small apartment room? #becauseracecar

Gonna try to find a tire stack advertising cover, like the ones pictured above. Because I'm classy like that.

In your defense, they do look pretty similar from a distance and it was dark in my room when I took the picture.

In addition to the Miata tires, I also had 5 Jeep wheels & tires, 4 other wheels, and 2 doors taking up space. Our housemates hated us.

Yeah, it's gonna get excessive when I start modifying the car and have to find places for all the stock suspension and exhaust components too...

No worries. haha

Now I just need to decide what color to plasti dip them. I kind of want to do the Cobalt Blue or some other crazy color, just because. lol

If it's a newer car that has TPMS, when you put tires on with new TPMS sensors in them, then yes you have to reprogram the computer to read the new unique sensor codes. Doesn't take long at all. Any shop can do it in a few minutes.

I would, if my car were any color but red. Hot pink on red would look awful.

There are the options for their wheel specific colors:

Here are some examples of the other colors too: https://www.dipyourcar.com/examples.html

This may need to become a poll on Oppositelock when the time gets closer.

I feel your pain, I have lost the desk space in my dorm, due to half of my winter set of Miata wheels hiding there, the other half is in my trunk
